Q: Privacy, Tell me about it? keyboard_arrow_right
We take privacy seriously - we do keep copies of your log files, but we don't share individual records until you opt in on the privacy settings, which can be found here. We will assume you opt out of sharing until you explicitly opt in, for all current and future features.
With the exception of:
If your logs are the matched pair of another (i.e. a confirmed QSO), the match will confirm on both views.
Log entries are tracked by UUID - if you share a QSO or achievement URL with someone, they can see the details of that individual log record (they can't see other logs).
If your callsign is linked to a registered user ('claimed'), or verified, then when looking at your callsign or a log linked to your callsign, they will see that it is claimed and or verified.
Your logs may be included in global statistics and challenges anonymously.
Some personal information is shared with our performance and error logging provider (Sentry).

Q: Whats the difference between Claiming and Aliasing? keyboard_arrow_right
Sometimes operators use a modifier with their callsign, either because they are abroad, or in a region. For example, M0OUZ, when in Wales would use the callsign MW0OUZ. This is still the same callsign, so it is an alias.
However, M0OUZ also has the callsign 2E0OUZ, as well as M3OUZ, from when they passed their foundation and intermediate exams. These callsigns are (whilst similar), completely separate license documents and should be kept separate. Other examples are Special Event or Club signs. These should not be aliased, and should be claimed.
Ideally, special event and club signs should be uploaded on their own accounts, because they can qualify for free premium features.

Q: I forgot my password? keyboard_arrow_right
That is unfortunate. We currently do not have a password reset function. Contact the admins.

Q: Content Policy and objecting to content? keyboard_arrow_right
All the user generated content has a report function near to it, which links your report to the item in question.
Content that is uploaded by users should be appropriate for the wider Amateur Radio community, which may include minors. If there is content which you do not think should be on this site, please report it, and an admin will review it. Content may be removed or updated at the discretion of the administrators. Repeat offenders may be banned. Content that is illegal or inflammatory may result in insta bans, and reporting to relevant authorities.

Q: How do I claim / verify my callsign? keyboard_arrow_right
Claiming callsigns can be done by first uploading a valid ADIF log which contains your callsign, then visiting the settings page, and claiming the callsigns that have been uploaded. (link here)

Q: Log Quality and Fake QSOs keyboard_arrow_right
The amateur radio hobby relies on honesty, and sometimes operators logs do not line up due to inability to complete QSO's on both ends. However, the uploading of fake logs is banned, and when discovered, users can be banned.

Q: I aliased a callsign I didn't mean to / I claimed when I meant to Alias - What do I do? keyboard_arrow_right
Not a problem, go to Reporting and tell us which way round it should be. The reason it isn't self-service is this is sometimes used by people trying to activate multiple free-periods.
